The job responsibilities include assisting with hands-on physical labor and the operation of machinery with the goal of streamlining company production and the upkeep of customer satisfaction. Reports to: Plant Manager and floor supervisors Position summary: The primary function is to repair pallets. Duties include: Must observe all safety guidelines and protocol. Inspects and repairs pallets for defects including, but not limited to, broken boards and blocks, missingcomponents, nail defects, debris, and contamination. Correct defects that do not meetspecification criteria. Lift and carry materials as needed Ensure materials and products are properly stored to conserve space and comply with safety procedures. Assist in waste disposal and recycling activities. Sort and stack pallets and materials by size and grade utilizing APC methods Complete and turn in all required documentation in a timely manner. Assures compliance with appropriate safety practices and procedures with applicable federal, State and local codes, OSHA regulations and requirements. Clean and maintain all responsible work areas in an organized manner. All other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications: Ability to read and interpret imperial system. Successful completion of pneumatic nailer training. High school diploma or GED Equivalent Related experience is preferred.
