Magpies Softserve Highland Park is a chef-owned and operated soft serve ice cream shop dedicated to doing things differently. We make everything in-house and from scratch—from our soft serve bases to our toppings. You won’t find gummy bears or M&M’s here. Instead, we focus on high-quality ingredients like real milk, cream, and sugar, along with thoughtfully crafted vegan soft serve made from oat milk, almond milk, or coconut milk.

Our mission is simple: exceed guest expectations in both quality and service. Amazing product can only take us so far—it’s our team that brings the experience to life. We’re proud of the positive, hardworking culture we’ve built at Magpies, and we’re excited to grow our team with people who genuinely care about what they do and how they show up for others.

Pay

$18.42/hour + tips
Average total hourly earnings: $25–$29/hour

Position Details

Part-time
Saturday and Sunday open availability is REQUIRED
(Please do not apply if you cannot commit to weekends)

What We’re Looking For

Strong listening and communication skills
Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Comfortable tasting both dairy and non-dairy products (milk, oat milk, almond milk, coconut milk)
A consistently positive attitude and team-first mindset
At least 4 days of open availability per week , including weekends (REQUIRED)
