The Pharmacist will support a community pharmacy by focusing on prescription dispensing and delivering safe, effective medication care. Reporting to the Pharmacy Manager, this role will provide patient counseling, review drug interactions, coordinate routinely with healthcare providers, and ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations.

Responsibilities

• Verify prescriptions and process medication orders accurately.
• Dispense medications in accordance with prescriptions and applicable standards.
• Counsel patients on medication use, safety, and adherence.
• Review prescriptions for drug interactions and medication-related risks.
• Provide medication therapy management and health screening services.
• Maintain pharmacy inventory and medication dispensing systems.
• Coordinate routinely with healthcare providers regarding patient care.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and support medication safety practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Entry-level experience in pharmacy practice.
• Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.).
• Active pharmacist license.
• Immunization certification.
• Knowledge of pharmacotherapy, clinical drug information, and pharmacy law.
• Experience with medication dispensing systems and medication safety.
• Strong patient counseling and clinical communication skills.
• Attention to detail and interprofessional collaboration skills.
