With a national network of service professionals, Concentric provides engineering, installation and maintenance/management for power equipment including backup batteries, UPSs, generators, energy storage, micro grids, forklift power, onsite maintenance and more.The Level 3, HVAC Mechanic is responsible for delivering and installing HVAC telecommunications equipment. The Technician, Level 3, HVAC Mechanical Senior will load, deliver, and install equipment to a variety of commercial customer sites for emergencies or scheduled events. They will provide professional, respectful service while performing work and/or solving on-site challenges. This position reports to the Regional Service Manager, Critical Power Operations, and has no direct reports.The travel expectation: out in the field for 2 weeks straight, then returning to the home base for a period of possibly 1 week before travelling again throughout the assigned area – Will receive a company vehicle and partner with another technician, as well as, receive other related tools/services.Key Job ResponsibilitiesReliable attendance and punctuality.Deliver and install telecommunications HVAC equipment.Ensure all work is performed according to safety regulations and building codes.Review mechanical and technical manuals and project specifications to understand project requirements.Develop detailed work plans and timelines.Estimate material needs and procure necessary equipment.Conduct pre- and post- inspections to verify quality and compliance.Conduct regular quality checks throughout the project.Troubleshoot mechanical problems and identify solutions.Maintain detailed project documentation including progress reports, work orders and inspection reports.Coordinate problem resolution with Technical Support, Customer Service, Sales, and other personnel to expedite repairs.Track activity and progress by communicating job notes and updates with your team.Prepare necessary reports for project management and clients.Travel to other branches or sites, as required, to assist with product installation, removal, or repairs.Implement quality control measures to ensure project standards are met.Proactively identify and address potential quality issues.Conduct regular quality checks throughout the project.Other duties as assigned by supervisor.Key Performance MeasurementsA score card that reflects performance in areas such as safety, efficiency, work order completion, customer satisfaction, and issue resolution.Exercise high degree of time management skill, resulting in greater than 90% time billable to customers.Management observation regarding attitude, diligence, team contributions, and willingness and ability to learn new skills and information.Other key performance indicators as assigned.RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED equivalent, required.Must have 5-7 years of Commercial HVAC mechanic experience; preferred commercial and/or industrial.Should also have experience operating heavy equipment, as well as towing a trailer using a service truck.Certification from a technical school focused on Journeyman HVAC/Mechanical, preferred.Must have a valid driver's license, pass a background check, and drug screen.May be required to pass additional requirements under the Department of Transportation (DOT).Possess general knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements.Strong desire to deepen expertise in HVAC diagnostics, service, and responsibilities, taking on more complex challenges with each year of employment.Working knowledge of HVAC machines and tools, including the designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.Familiarity with the use of test equipment e.g., Digital Variable Multi (DVM), and refrigeration test equipment.Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.Ability to organize their own work and work independently, with limited supervision.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft TEAMS platforms.Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with diverse needs, and across remote offices.Ability to clearly articulate ideas (both written and verbal) to both internal and external customers and to listen effectively to customer needs.Ability to develop and maintain strong workplace relationships.Possess a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work collaboratively with other departments.Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.Requires heavy travel, some evening, weekends and overnight travel.The benefits listed are subject to change at any time.
