- # Job Description# Compensation ConsultantApply**Job#: 3056609****Job Description:**Apex Systems is hiring a Compensation Consultant for a large Healthcare client.**Location:** Oakland, CA (Remote, but must be local to the area).Role OverviewThis position is primarily responsible for administering and assisting in the development of compensation policies and programs, developing compensation analysis plans, performing market pricing and analysis, and conducting salary planning activities. The successful candidate consults with business partners to evaluate job content and employee responsibilities, assists with the management of project compensation components of larger cross-functional projects, and supports the planning and development of human resources compensation implementation strategies, programs, and policies. Professional growth is encouraged through proactive information sharing, cross-functional relationship building, and adaptation to competing demands.Key Responsibilities* Administer and assist in the development of compensation policies and programs by researching and analyzing compensation-related issues and evaluating alignment with organizational imperatives.* Perform market pricing and analysis by auditing and evaluating compensation survey data, assessing competitive labor market trends, and determining benchmarks.* Consult with business partners to evaluate job content, recommend reclassifications, and prepare or revise job descriptions to reflect appropriate responsibilities and salary grade assignments.* Conduct and serve as a lead for salary planning activities, identifying corrective actions and recommending adjustments.* Develop compensation analysis plans by researching data, evaluating inputs, and tracking project schedules.* Assist with the management of projects or compensation components of larger cross-functional initiatives.* Support the planning, development, and implementation of human resources compensation strategies, ensuring alignment with established objectives and metrics.* Complete work assignments and support business-specific projects by applying expertise, coordinating resources, and solving complex problems.Required Qualifications**Education:** Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Social or other sciences, Public Administration, or a related field. Additional equivalent work experience in a directly related field may be substituted for the degree requirement.**Experience:** Minimum 5 years of experience in human resources, finance, or business operations, including at least two years of working directly on compensation projects or activities.**Technical Skills:** Proficiency in Microsoft 365 programs, including advanced Excel capabilities, and experience with enterprise systems such as Oracle.Preferred Qualifications* Master's degree in Human Resources, Business, Social or other sciences, Public Administration, or a related field.* Experience with dedicated compensation systems, including Payscale/MarketPay, CompAnalyst, Workday, or Syndio.* Human Resources Professional Certification (PHR), SHRM-CP, Senior Human Resources Professional Certification (SPHR), or SHRM-SCP.* Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation. *Everforth Apex is a world-class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe.
