- Maintain a clean, sanitary, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the entire facility, including resident rooms, common areas, offices, and shared spaces.
- Perform full room turnovers upon relative discharge or program graduation, ensuring rooms are thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, reset, and ready for new admissions.
- Prepare and inspect rooms prior to admissions to ensure a high standard of readiness and comfort.
- Integrate Indigenous Knowledge Informed Systems of Care (IndigiKnow) principles into daily work, supporting a culturally respectful and healing-focused environment.
- Support compliance with Washington State Department of Health, CARF, and HRSA standards by following all environmental health and safety protocols.
- Respond promptly to maintenance and service requests through the ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, vacuuming, mopping floors, and disinfecting high-touch surfaces.
- Clean and disinfect bathrooms, kitchens, and all shared spaces to maintain infection control standards.
- Collect, wash, dry, and fold all facility laundry, including bedding, towels, and kitchen linens.
- Monitor facility conditions and report maintenance needs, safety concerns, or issues that may impact relative care.
- Assist in maintaining an organized, orderly, and hazard-free environment.
- Contribute to a team-oriented atmosphere that supports quality care and respect for all individuals in the facility.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods, including a majority of time spent walking, standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching.
- Ability to perform repetitive movements such as pushing, pulling, and lifting during cleaning and room turnover tasks.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move moderate loads (e.g., laundry, cleaning equipment, supplies).
- Ability to safely operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning chemicals in accordance with safety guidelines.
- Ability to navigate stairs and move throughout all areas of the facility as needed.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation, in accordance with applicable laws.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in environmental services, housekeeping, or a healthcare/residential setting preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures, sanitation standards, and infection control practices.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage time effectively.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
