Job Description Summary:

Support the care team by performing clinical and administrative tasks that are vital to patient care. Medical Assistants must adhere to all relevant regulations and guidelines to ensure patient safety and confidentiality. As a key member of the ambulatory care team, you will:

At Advocate Medical Group Surgery - Elgin in Elgin, IL, our surgeons diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions affecting almost any area of the body. We provide individualized treatment plans for everyone from patients considering elective surgery to those who need surgical procedures because they are critically ill or injured.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

  Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch with ability to use fine hand manipulation skills for IV insertion and other procedures/functions.

  Perform physical safety interventions such as patient restraint and verbal de-escalation, if needed.

  May be exposed to chemical and hazardous waste as well as blood and body fluids and communicable disease. Therefore, protective clothing and equipment must be worn as necessary.
