About the Role

Picture your morning starting in a precast concrete yard where precision meets teamwork. As a Bed Operations Technician (commonly known as a Bed Utility Operator), you’ll help transform rebar, forms, and concrete into finished precast components. The work is hands-on, outdoors, and physically active—perfect for someone who takes pride in building durable products the right way.

What You’ll Do

• Lay out, tie, and position reinforcing steel in accordance with production specs and drawings.
• Prepare casting beds and forms—cleaning, oiling, and setting them for daily production.
• Assist with concrete placement: pour, spread, consolidate, and support finishing operations.
• Install embeds, inserts, and other reinforcing materials exactly where they’re needed.
• Strip forms and safely handle finished precast elements.
• Operate hand and power tools with care and attention to safety.
• Move materials and products throughout the yard to keep production flowing.
• Pitch in with general labor tasks to support the team as priorities shift.
• Keep your area orderly and uphold safety and quality standards at all times.

What You Bring

• Experience with rebar tying and concrete work is preferred.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately and follow production drawings.
• Capacity to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly across the shift.
• Comfort working outdoors in changing weather conditions.
• Background in construction, concrete, fabrication, or manufacturing is a plus.
• Consistent attendance and reliable transportation.
• Stamina to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and perform physical labor for extended periods.

Schedule

Monday–Friday with overtime as needed.
