Field Service TechnicianDeLand FL - DeLand, FL 32724Job DescriptionField Service TechnicianWe are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. This hands-on position is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining Sligo Systems' Visual Compliance Monitoring System (VCMS™) and related equipment at customer facilities across the United States. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, mechanically and electrically inclined, and enjoys traveling to solve technical challenges while providing exceptional service.ResponsibilitiesTravel to customer sites throughout the U.S. to perform installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of SCADA equipment and related systemsTroubleshoot electrical, mechanical, networking, and control system issues both onsite and remotelyInstall, configure, and test, sensors, communication equipment, control panels, and associated hardwarePerform preventative maintenance inspections and system performance evaluationsTrain customers on proper operation and basic maintenance of installed systemsDocument service activities, repairs, and recommendations through detailed service reportsCoordinate with internal technical support and engineering teams to resolve complex technical issuesMaintain company tools, equipment, and service vehicle in a clean and organized conditionFollow all customer site safety requirements and company safety proceduresAssist with system testing, equipment preparation, and technical support at the office when not travelingProvide professional, courteous customer service while representing Sligo Systems in the fieldParticipate in an on-call rotation to support customers as neededQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree or technical training in electrical, electronics, industrial maintenance, instrumentation, or related field preferred)Minimum 2 years of experience in field service, industrial maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, controls, instrumentation, or related technical fieldWorking knowledge of electrical systems, low-voltage and high-voltage wiring, and basic networking conceptsStrong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skillsAbility to read electrical diagrams and technical documentationExcellent communication and customer service skillsSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage travel schedulesValid driver's license with a clean driving recordAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and work safely on ladders and around industrial equipmentWillingness to travel frequently throughout the United States, including overnight travelWork Environment:Work is performed at customer facilities, including landfills and other industrial environments, as well as in the office when not travelingFrequent travel by vehicle and air, including overnight staysMust be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and around heavy equipmentPosition may require climbing ladders, walking uneven terrain, and standing for extended periodsProper personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided and required when working onsiteSligo Systems is a full-service systems integrator providing engineering services and fabrication of custom industrial automation and process systems for a wide range of applications in Municipal Solid Waste, Oil & Gas, and Water & Wastewater markets.
