About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Dietary Cook to join our team at Medina Center for Rehabilitation! As a Dietary Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of food services for our residents. With a focus on patient-centered care, you will work closely with our dietary team to provide delicious and nutritious meals that cater to the diverse needs of our residents.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook meals in accordance with dietary needs and restrictions

• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to infection control and safety standards

• Assist with food inventory management and ordering supplies

• Collaborate with dietary staff to plan and implement special meals and events

• Participate in menu planning and food presentation to enhance the dining experience

• Maintain accurate records and reports of food preparation, inventory, and waste management

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, such as OSHA and JCAHO standards

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with the dietary team and other departments

• Familiarity with food safety and sanitation protocols, with a commitment to upholding high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
