Behavior Interventionist ParaprofessionalThis position of Behavior Interventionist works alongside the Building Administration and district Behavior Analyst to support students' behavioral needs. The Behavior Interventionist will collaborate with the School Intervention Team to support student engagement. The interventionist may provide or assist with continuous progress monitoring (data analysis) related to behavior intervention plans and other evidence-based practices for students. The interventionist demonstrates positive interpersonal skills, cooperative teamwork, multi-agency coordination, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. The interventionist delivers targeted behavior intervention services to students who are at risk.Job ResponsibilitiesIn collaboration with the building administration and district behavior analyst, perform the following:Support and participate in the effective implementation of the Response to Instruction and Intervention (RTI2) frameworkCollaborate with stakeholders to create effective behavior management programsFollow Student Support Plan and collect data as needed.Provide consultation with teachers and administrators on behavioral issuesCollaborate with the School Intervention Team to develop plans, goals, interventions, etc.Participate in instructional team meetings to identify and support Tier II behavior interventionsParticipate in School Intervention Team meetings to identify and support Tier III behavior interventionsMaintain a current knowledge of behavioral intervention practices and related areasMaintain confidentiality of all student informationSupport and promote the district's mission, vision, values and the implementation of the strategic planWilling and able to participate in restraint training and pass the testPerform other duties as assigned
