Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Assistant Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of trucks and equipment. The Mechanic will play a crucial role in ensuring that all machinery operates efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in various types of trucks and equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance on diesel engines to ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct inspections of equipment to identify potential problems before they escalate.
• Operate equipment safely while performing repairs or maintenance tasks.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed on all equipment.
• Collaborate with other mechanics and team members to improve operational efficiency.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working with heavy machinery.

Requirements

• Proven experience in equipment repair and maintenance, particularly with diesel engines.
• Knowledge of air brake systems and their maintenance is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• We are willing to train you if you have mechanical knowledge.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Being able to take direction and learn form our established mechanics.
