ICU Neuro Registered Nurse

The ICU Neuro Registered Nurse provides specialized nursing care in a neuroscience intensive care environment. The role involves managing complex neurological patients, ensuring adherence to protocols, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor neurological patients, collecting comprehensive health data.
• Develop individualized care plans addressing stroke, EVD, vent management, and other neuro-specific needs.
• Implement and evaluate interventions to ensure optimal recovery and patient safety.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to coordinate seamless patient care.
• Educate patients and families about their condition, discharge planning, and injury prevention.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in good standing, with current ACLS and NIHSS certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, preferably Neuro ICU.
• Demonstrated ability to manage stroke, EVD, and ventilator patients.
• Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to develop care plans.
• Flexibility to float to similar ICU units as needed.
