Product Demonstrator Part Time

Overview The Associate is responsible for completing in-store food and non‑food demonstrations, acquiring and maintaining product knowledge, preparing, serving, and breaking down product, equipment, and supplies, and intercepting consumers to demonstrate products in a professional manner. The associate must maintain a professional appearance consistent with job requirements. This role is not expected to exceed 25 hours per week; the company reserves the discretion to change the role based on business or client needs. The job description does not imply that the above functions are the only tasks performed; additional job‑related tasks may be assigned by management. Responsibilities Possess the aptitude and ability to gain adequate knowledge of the products represented. Proactively intercept, engage, interact, and sell product to the consumer in a positive manner. Effectively communicate the features and benefits of the product. Prepare and serve food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers, and knives. Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe workstation using cleaning chemicals. Maintain a professional appearance consistent with job requirements. Properly set up and prepare the event table for execution. Achieve 100% execution on assigned work. Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections. Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to meet company and client objectives. Complete expense reports as per Company policy. Accurately prepare and submit all online requirements on the same day as event execution. Access the internet, navigate company electronic systems, use Microsoft Outlook, and view assigned documents, including Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF forms. Qualifications Education/Experience : High school diploma or GED; or one to three months’ related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer skills : Proficient in using a personal computer or mobile device with applications and internal systems. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations : Local food handlers permit may be required. Physical demands : The associate will be regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach overhead up to 65 inches, talk, hear, read instructions, stoop, kneel, squat, climb or step up a ladder, balance, lift and carry up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds), push and pull a wheeled demonstration cart fully laden, prepare foods and beverages using required appliances, and be in contact with cleaning supplies. Supervisory responsibilities : None. Work environment : Retail store environment with limited travel. Physical appearance : Ensure a neat, clean, and appropriately groomed professional appearance.
