Job Overview Provides direct support to organizations and their employees through the delivery of assessment, consultation, education and triage services. Uses knowledge of federal regulations to assist organizations in the appropriate handling of employee concerns and problems. Consults with employees and organizations on a variety of workplace and work‑based issues. Provides clinical expertise to restore employees with diminished performance to healthy functioning. Provides employee and management consultation related to specific personal problems and workplace/management problems and concerns. Conducts critical‑incident response services, EAP assessment and short‑term counseling, EAP orientations, customer webinars and health and wellness trainings. Manages caseload and other tasks including timely case documentation to meet quality, qualitative and quantitative performance expectations. Provides information and referral to appropriate level of care as well as to community resources. Participates in activities that help improve SBU and/or client performance, excellence and culture. Identifies individual and/or team operational challenges and inefficiencies and recommends continuous improvement plans to support department and company mission. Analyzes and presents issues in a clear, concise, persuasive manner, both verbally and in writing. Develops effective working relationships with peers within and across organizational lines and supports team members and participates in team activities, including trainings, to build a high‑performance team. Takes responsibility for own development and stays current on skills and techniques needed to better serve members and help Magellan achieve its business and operational goals. Adheres to all contract requirements, standard operation procedures and company policy. All other duties as assigned. Responsibilities Consult and support employees and organizations on workplace and work‑based issues. Provide assessment, short‑term counseling and crisis intervention. Deliver EAP orientations, customer webinars and health and wellness trainings. Manage caseload and complete timely case documentation. Provide information and referral to appropriate level of care and community resources. Identify and recommend continuous improvement plans for operational challenges. Analyze and present issues verbally and in writing. Develop and maintain working relationships across organizational lines. Qualifications Minimum 5 years clinical experience after receiving a graduate degree. Clinical training includes chemical dependency, mental health and brief therapy. Understanding of workplace issues, business functions and employee‑employer relationships. Knowledge of EEO rules, ADA in the workplace, FMLA and Drug‑Free Workplace Requirements. Ability to provide accurate client assessment, level of risk, substance abuse and dependency, job performance issues and referral to appropriate level of care. Competent in crisis intervention and solution‑focused brief therapy in outpatient setting. Strong customer service, training and listening skills. Ability to interact effectively at all levels within the company and with external customers. Adjusts well to new situations, changing priorities, ambiguity and stress. Positive, achievement‑oriented attitude and consistency in accomplishing expected objectives. Current licensure for behavioral health: LCSW‑C, LCSW, LMHC, LPCC, LPC. Preferred: Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP).
