An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Charge Nurse (Band 7) to join the Paediatric Acute Receiving Unit at the Royal Hospital for Children and Young People. We are looking for an inspirational leader who is caring, compassionate and motivated to join our strong, empowered and highly skilled nursing team. Responsibilities Lead and manage the nursing team, including recruitment, supervision and staff development. Ensure delivery of high-quality, safe and effective care in line with national and local standards. Support patient flow within an acute environment and maintain patient safety. Drive quality improvement, governance and service development initiatives. Promote a positive team culture aligned with NHS Lothian values. Qualifications Registered Children’s Nurse, educated to degree level (or working towards). Significant experience in acute paediatrics. Strong track record in leadership and service improvement. Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills. Commitment to delivering high standards of care and supporting staff wellbeing.
