Weight Room Supervisor - Massabesic High School JobID: 1359 Date Posted: 4/1/2026 Location: Massabesic High School Massabesic High School: Weight Room Supervisor Hours: 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm Direct Supervisor: Athletic Director Position Summary The Weight Room Supervisor is responsible for the oversight, structure, and safety of the after-school weight room program. This includes supervising students specifically using the weight room, as well as those in transition for other sports programs or school activities. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Safety & Supervision Safety First: Maintain the emotional and physical safety of all athletes and participants. Technique Oversight: Ensure safety in the form, function, and application of equipment and proper clothing at all times. Environment: Maintain a safe environment and facility, adhering to all medical and safety requirements. Facility Security: Secure all offices, storage rooms, outside doors, and locker rooms, and ensure all lights are off after the last athlete leaves. Instruction & Programming Skill Development: Instruct and demonstrate the skill sets and techniques necessary for individual and team achievement and personal performance goals. Program Design: Develop appropriate training programs and practice schedules with and for students. Planning: Plan and set up activities and practices when applicable. Operations & Administration Policy Compliance: Follow and maintain knowledge of all District policies and procedures. Record Keeping: Maintain necessary records and complete required paperwork (attendance, tardiness, etc.) in a timely manner. Equipment Care: Ensure proper cleaning, storage, and maintenance of all equipment and workout spaces. Communication: Disseminate protocols, structures, and policies from the Athletic Director and District Administration. Professionalism & Community Interpersonal Relations: Interact thoughtfully and courteously with students, staff, parents, coaches, and officials; resolve conflicts professionally. Representation: Professionally represent the school, district, and program in all interactions with the community and media. Reliability: Maintain regular and punctual attendance and communicate effectively when attendance is not possible.
