This role involves providing specialized nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia following surgical and diagnostic procedures. The RN will monitor patients during the immediate post-anesthesia period, manage pain and nausea, identify complications, and ensure patient stability before transfer or discharge. Job Details Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree, Location, and Experience: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license. Graduation from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred by many employers. Current BLS certification. ACLS certification typically required. PACU, ICU, critical-care, ED, or perioperative nursing experience may be preferred depending on the facility. Strong assessment, critical-thinking, communication, and emergency-response skills. No minimum years of experience required. Schedule: Days shift with 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week. Additional Information: The PACU Registered Nurse provides specialized nursing care during the immediate post-anesthesia period, closely monitoring patients, managing pain and nausea, identifying complications, and ensuring patient stability before transfer or discharge.
