Senior Coordinator, Digital Marketing

POSITION SUMMARY

Are you a creative graphic designer with a passion for digital content, social media, and travel? Join us at the American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA), the leading voice for travel professionals worldwide. 

We are seeking a Digital Marketing Senior Coordinator with a strong graphic design background to support our marketing and communications team. This role is responsible for creating both digital and print graphics to support the organization's overall marketing initiatives, including email campaigns, presentation decks for a variety of stakeholder groups, digital advertising assets, and some short-form video content.

The ideal candidate combines strong visual design skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to turn ideas into compelling visual stories across multiple channels. 

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the digital presence of a national trade association that advocates for the travel advisor community. 

This position reports to the Director, Marketing.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

Graphic Design

• • Design creative assets supporting ASTA events, advocacy initiatives, educational programs, membership campaigns and consumer-facing initiatives. 
  • Create graphics, animations and multimedia assets for social media, email marketing, websites, presentations, advertising campaigns and member communications. 
  • Create and edit short-form video content for social media, events, promotional campaigns and member communications using tools such as Canva, Premiere Pro, CapCut or similar video editing tools. 
  • Maintain visual consistency and brand standards across ASTA marketing materials and campaigns. 
  • Manage multiple creative projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining high design standards. 

Social Media Management & Email Marketing

• • In partnership with the Director of Marketing, manage ASTA's social media accounts on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube, with a focus on posting timely and quality content, increasing engagement and growing more followers.
  • Develop engaging, on-board content including copy, graphics and short-form video to support marketing, advocacy, and public relations initiatives.
  • Design and support email marketing campaigns from concept through deployment. 
  • Support integrated marketing campaigns across email, social media, web and digital advertising channels. 

Content Development & Website Support  

• • Write and publish articles, member features, and industry updates for ASTA.org. 
  • Support content management efforts to ensure accuracy and consistency. 
  • Support public relations efforts, media outreach and organizational communications. 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• • Bachelor's degree required in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Advanced proficiency in Canva is required; experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro, is preferred. 
  • Demonstrated graphic design experience through professional, freelance, internship, volunteer or academic work. Portfolio submission is required and should showcase digital design work across multiple formats. 
  • Strong understanding of design principles including layout, typography, branding, visual storytelling, and functionality 
  • Experience creating graphics and other multimedia content for social media platforms is required.  
  • Experience creating and editing short-form video content is strongly preferred.  
  • Experience designing infographics, charts, or data visualizations is a plus. 
  • Familiarity with AI-powered creative tools such as Canva AI, Adobe Firefly, ChatGPT, or similar platforms is a plus. 
  • Strong writing, copy editing, and communication skills. 
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. 
  • Self-starter with a collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn. 
  • Passion for the travel industry and supporting the travel advisor community.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS 

• Salary Range: $52,000 - $62,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.

    • Washington, DC, Maryland, or Virginia (Hybrid - 3 days per week in the office)
    • Florida, Utah, Illinois, Georgia, North Carolina, California, Arizona, Indianapolis, Iowa, Kentucky, or Ohio (Remote)
