Pay: $19.50 per hour
Schedule: 2nd Shift, 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
Employment Type: W2 Temp-to-hire Assignment; Potential for extension or conversion to FTE based on business needs

Job Summary

This is a warehouse case-picking and material-handling position supporting a medical technology manufacturing facility. The main focus is using an Electric Pallet Jack (EPJ) to accurately pick cases and move materials throughout the warehouse and plant. The position involves reading pick tickets and labels, using handheld scanners or RF devices, maintaining material records, and working within established safety and quality procedures.

Job Duties

• Operate an Electric Pallet Jack (EPJ) to move materials, parts, assemblies, and finished products throughout the facility.
• Accurately pick cases using pick tickets, product labels, handheld scanners, and RF devices.
• Review work orders and identify the correct materials needed for production or warehouse activities.
• Use a variety of material-handling equipment, including forklifts, electric pallet jacks, conveyors, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks.
• Maintain records related to material handling and inventory.
• Follow established SOPs, quality guidelines, and safety procedures.
• Complete routine warehouse and material-handling tasks within defined processes.
• Work in a metrics-driven environment and meet established productivity and accuracy requirements.
• Read, write, interpret, and comprehend documents written in English.
• Perform basic math calculations.
• Use general computer functions as needed.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers, Team Leads, and Supervisors.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience operating an Electric Pallet Jack (EPJ).
• Must have Electric Pallet Jack experience.
• Effective and accurate case-picking experience.
• Experience reading pick tickets and labels.
• Experience using handheld scanners or RF devices.
• Ability to work in a metrics-driven warehouse environment.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend documents written in English.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.
• Safety shoes required.

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Candidates without a high school diploma or GED must have 2+ years of applicable warehouse or related experience.
• If education is not listed on the resume, applicable warehouse experience should be clearly documented.

Physical Requirements

• Regularly walk, stand, stoop, kneel, balance, climb, lift, crouch, reach, pull, push, grasp, twist, and use hands for picking and repetitive movements.
• May be required to lift and/or move items over 50 lbs.

Work Environment

• Work is performed in a warehouse and manufacturing environment.
• Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration, and changing weather conditions.
• The facility can be hot during summer months due to no air conditioning and cold during winter months due to limited heating.
• Occasional exposure to high or precarious places and fumes or airborne particles.
• Noise levels range from moderate to loud.
