Your role involves working side-by-side with staff to provide hands-on support and oversee daily routines while prioritizing the safety and well-being of everyone in the home. With the potential for challenging behaviors from some individuals, your ability to remain calm and consistent is crucial.You'll actively help de-escalate situations and follow behavior support plans, showcasing your leadership by modeling appropriate responses for your team. Balancing direct care, staff supervision, documentation, and problem-solving, you will play a vital part in maintaining a structured environment. You will need to make sound decisions in high-stress or crisis situations while maintaining clear communication skills, both written and verbal.
