Job Details Location: Boise Nursing and Rehab - Boise, ID 83704 Position Type: PRN Job Shift: Day Job Category: Health Care Position Overview Valley View Nursing and Rehab is looking for a committed and patient-focused PRN Occupational Therapist to develop, recover or maintain the daily living and work skills of people with physical, mental or developmental conditions. The therapist will offer effective and client-centered services that enable people to confidently and independently carry out everyday tasks or activities. The primary purpose of the position is to ensure the highest quality of resident care available, support staff and establish a positive reputation in the community while delivering on the Operating Company Eduro HealthCare's values of wellness, compassion, customer experience and company results. Responsibilities Develop, recover or maintain daily living and work skills of patients with physical, mental or developmental conditions. Offer effective client-centered services that allow patients to perform everyday tasks independently. Support staff and maintain a positive reputation in the community. Qualifications Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy. Minimum 1 year experience working with adults in a health‑care setting. Read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to perform required duties. Follow verbal and written English instructions. Bilingual skills welcome. Hold current and active license or registration in the state of employment. Complete orientation required by company policy. Undergo health screening and TB test within two weeks of employment. Complete mandatory drug test upon hire. Clear criminal background check. Provide evidence of identity and eligibility for employment within 3 days of hire. Become familiar with and comply with all local, state, and federal regulations relating to the job. Physical Demands Frequently move about the facility. Frequently assist patients with exercises. Rapidly assist in evacuation of all residents in emergency. Work Environment May be asked to work beyond normal hours and must have flexibility and willingness to work holidays. Must work in an office and other areas of the facility as needed. May be subject to illness, diseases, and other health conditions present in the facility. Must be able to relate and work with patients who are ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and sometimes hostile. Other Duties Other duties may be assigned that are not listed here.
