Senior Facilities TechnicianHelp Keep a Critical Medical Device Manufacturing Facility Running at Its Best

Are you an experienced facilities professional who enjoys solving complex mechanical and electrical challenges? We're looking for a Senior Facilities Technician to join our team and play a key role in maintaining the systems and infrastructure that support the production of life-changing medical devices.

In this position, you'll work hands-on with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems while helping ensure a safe, efficient, and compliant manufacturing environment. You'll also have the opportunity to mentor junior technicians, contribute to facility improvement projects, and make a direct impact on operations.

What You'll Be DoingMaintain & Troubleshoot Critical Building Systems

• Perform maintenance and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical (480V), lighting, mechanical, and life-safety systems.
• Diagnose and resolve equipment issues to minimize downtime and keep operations running smoothly.
• Conduct facility inspections and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Repair and maintain building assets including doors, windows, fixtures, flooring, and other facility components.

Drive Reliability & Preventive Maintenance

• Execute preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment performance and lifespan.
• Utilize CMMS systems to track work orders, maintenance activities, and equipment history.
• Monitor building systems and recommend upgrades or improvements to increase reliability and efficiency.
• Support spare parts inventory management and maintenance planning initiatives.

Support Projects & Team Success

• Collaborate with production, quality, and facilities teams on improvement projects.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors to support specialized repairs and installations.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced technicians.
• Assist with facility upgrades, equipment installations, and infrastructure improvements.

Champion Safety & Compliance

• Follow OSHA regulations, LOTO procedures, and established safety protocols.
• Participate in safety audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Help maintain compliance within a highly regulated manufacturing environment.

What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications

• 5+ years of facilities maintenance experience in manufacturing, industrial, healthcare, commercial, or similar environments.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Strong HVAC maintenance and troubleshooting experience.
• Strong electrical experience, including 480V systems and building electrical infrastructure .
• Experience maintaining plumbing, mechanical, and general building systems.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Hands-on experience with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to workplace safety and OSHA compliance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical certification, trade school training, or equivalent technical experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing, medical device, pharmaceutical, or other regulated environment.
• Familiarity with FDA-regulated facilities or cleanroom operations.
• Experience coordinating contractors and vendors.
• Previous experience mentoring, training, or leading technicians.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Clara, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
