The Interaction Platform Team:

The Interaction Platform tribe has the purpose of facilitating the development of multiplatform experiences with high quality and efficiency, reducing the costs and the time it takes us to evolve the products and improve the experience of our clients.

Our responsibility is to build mobile platforms and global experience standards through the adoption of KMP enabling the creation of unique, standardized and more agile functionalities, allowing other Stone teams to evolve solutions efficiently and avoiding the need to develop the same application multiple times to meet different consumers.

What It's Like To Be A Software Engineering Manager At Stone:

Being a Software Engineering Manager at Stone means leading software engineering teams, promoting a collaborative and results-oriented environment. You are expected to act as a facilitator, ensuring that teams have clarity of purpose and the necessary resources to deliver high-quality solutions. Additionally, you will be responsible for aligning technical goals with the company's strategic objectives, promoting the professional growth of team members and fostering a culture of continuous learning.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop software engineering teams, focusing on high performance and individual growth.
• Seek knowledge about the company's strategic and operational plans, propagating and connecting technical direction aligned with the strategy.
• Ensure the delivery of technical solutions aligned with business needs, in partnership with PMs, Designers and other leaders.
• Facilitate communication between technical teams and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
• Promote an environment of collaboration, psychological safety and constant feedback.
• Ensure the construction of technical strategies of the team domains, promoting good engineering practices (Clean Code, TDD, CI/CD, DevSecOps).
• Participate in the definition and monitoring of OKRs and technical metrics (lead time, stability, test coverage, etc.).
• Encourage initiatives of Inner Source, use of RFCs and living documentation culture.
• Deal with ambiguous problems and challenging prioritization, balancing time and quality.
• Be influential in decision-making with the team in details of solutions.
• Ensure quality, scalability and good practices of the product/platform.
• Define, collect, analyze and monitor health metrics of applications/products.

What We Expect From You:

• Experience in leadership of multidisciplinary technical teams based on principles and adoption of agile methodologies (scrum / kanban);
• Be an ambassador in the team of our culture of high collaboration and quality;
• Experience in an environment with robust and scalable architecture;
• Strong knowledge and experience in leadership of teams adopting architectural standards and code design, consistent and well-documented coding standards;
• Experience in mobile android/iOS development;
• Solid knowledge in API RESTful / Protocol;
• Solid knowledge of algorithms and data structures;
• Solid knowledge of SOLID principles, Clean Code and Design Patterns;
• Experience in investigations, troubleshooting, telemetry, monitoring, observability and debugging of systems in general;
• Experience with Software Testing: Unitary, integration, stress, mutation and E2E;
• Knowledge of databases and relational and non-relational modeling, caching strategies and distributed processing;
• Knowledge of DevOps: CI/CD, automations and the culture itself;
• Metrics and marketing tools (e.g. Firebase, Google Analytics, Amplitude);
• Experience in managing mobile platform (internal dev client).

What Increases Your Chances:

• Experience in managing experience / journey teams;
• Experience in managing teams with responsibility in developing Design System;
• Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) and Compose Multiplatform (CMP) development;
• Experience in developing applications with React Native;
• Experience in developing backend applications with Golang, Node and C# or another modern backend language (additional);
• Experience with digital financial products and/or large-scale apps;
• Experience with critical and high availability applications.
