Systems Engineer ~ Onsite in Grand Prairie, TX- Clearance Required

Job Description A senior classified information system administrator responsible for system configuration and IT compliance, with a background in cyber security and system administration, supports multiple projects and internal customers. The role performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk analysis, and supports effectiveness analyses for total systems and IT functions, including design, development, and analysis of computer systems or programs based on user or system design specifications. Responsibilities also include consulting with users to determine hardware, software, or system functional specifications, conducting functional, timeline, and detail trade studies, allocating requirements, and defining interface studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. Analysis is performed at all levels of total system product: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal. Responsibilities The position includes technical planning, system integration, verification, validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems and information technology. The administrator collaborates with users and stakeholders to translate requirements into system solutions that meet technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience/combined education. Active Interim Secret (or higher) security clearance required to start, with the ability to obtain and maintain an Active Top Secret clearance. Security+, or other IAT Level II/III security certification. Experience with Active Directory domains and/or Linux NIS domains. Knowledge and experience with system administration on production networks, including Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2019/2022, and Linux. Proficiency troubleshooting and maintaining varied OS update tools for service packs, patch bundles, and updates. Direct experience interfacing with vulnerability remediation and security management tools for hardening, log management, and configuration management (e.g., Nessus, E‑STIG, ePo, Ivanti, Splunk). Demonstrated proficiency applying DISA STIGs and working knowledge of variances. Willingness and ability to expand skillsets to meet organizational and new technology demands. Physical ability to lift 35 lbs. Desired Skills Knowledgeable in information systems networking. Solid understanding of Linux file permissions and log-file troubleshooting tactics. NetApp experience. Asset inventory management and IT hardware administration. Establishing validation processes and creating configuration profile records for newly imaged assets. Validating system requirements and compliance with installed updates prior to asset delivery. Security Clearance Confidential: This position requires a government security clearance and the applicant must be a U.S. Citizen. Clearance level: Secret. Work Location Onsite Full‑time: The work will be performed at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
