Mechanical Design Engineer

- Own projects end to end, from concept through launch and into production support as the engineer of record
- Design and develop electromechanical products, working cross-functionally with sales, marketing, supply chain, and customers
- Create complete engineering documentation including CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and specifications while meeting UL, IEEE, NEMA, and ANSI standards
- Contribute to R&D and continuous improvement efforts, including redesigns for performance, cost reduction, and 80/20 portfolio simplification
- Translate customer and field requirements into manufacturable solutions and manage multiple projects in parallel
- Work directly with production and quality teams during launches, troubleshoot issues on the floor, and support existing product lines
- BSME or related degree with experience in 3D CAD, ideally SolidWorks
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as injection molding, CNC machining, sheet metal, welding, or compression molding
- Familiarity with GD&T, DFM/DFA, and structured product development or production support
- Hands-on problem solver who can manage multiple projects with limited oversight
- Strong communicator who can document work and explain technical concepts clearly
- Exposure to UL, IEEE, or NEMA standards or experience in utility or industrial environments is a plus
