Job Summary The Electrical Construction Superintendent is a project based role supporting the Curlew Basin Restart construction program. The incumbent will be a key member of the construction management team, reporting directly to the Construction Manager. The Superintendent will oversee all day-to-day aspects of electrical construction activities on-site. Essential Functions Oversee and coordinate the electrical installations and systems throughout the project, ensuring that all electrical work is completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards. Review and enforce adherence to project plans, drawings, and specifications for all electrical works. In partnership with the Field Engineer, inspect electrical works regularly to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards. Identify and address deviations or deficiencies in construction activities to minimize delays. Review electrical designs, drawings, and specifications, and provide feedback to ensure that all installations align with project requirements and goals. Maintain and submit detailed daily progress reports, including electrical construction activities, labor hours, equipment usage, weather conditions, and documentation such as permits and inspection records. Collaborate with engineering and design teams to resolve technical challenges and ensure constructability. Act as the liaison between contractors, other on-site disciplines, and the project management team. Provide direction to contractors, subcontractors, and site personnel. Participate in daily and weekly coordination meetings to align electrical construction activities with overall project priorities. Provide regular updates to the Construction Management Team on the status of electrical works and any emerging challenges. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Skills Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, construction management, or a related field. Equivalent experience will be considered. Minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical construction supervision, preferably in mining or heavy industrial projects. Proven track record of overseeing large-scale electrical works, including earthworks, concrete, and infrastructure projects. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment specific to electrical works. Familiarity with mine safety regulations (e.g., MSHA) and environmental standards. Strong verbal, written, analytical, and persuasive skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and management Valid Driver’s License Health, Safety, and Environmental Requirements Adheres to all safety and environmental considerations.
