Data Scientist

Overview VTG is seeking a talented and experienced Data Scientist to join our dynamic and innovative team in Herndon, VA/Chantilly, VA. What will you do? Collect, clean, and analyze large, complex datasets from multiple sources. Develop and implement statistical models, predictive analytics, and machine learning algorithms. Design experiments and evaluate models to ensure accuracy, reliability, and scalability. Translate data-driven findings into clear business insights and recommendations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, business stakeholders) to identify opportunities for data solutions. Create dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to effectively communicate results. Stay up to date on industry trends, tools, and best practices in data science and AI/ML. Do you have what it takes? Active TS/SCI with Polygraph required. Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field. Required: TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph BS in a quantitative field (mathematics, data science, statistics) At least 3 years of demonstrated experience directly relevant to analytics, quantitative analysis, data science, artificial intelligence or machine learning Proficiency with tools such as Postgresql/SQL, Python, R, and GitLab Demonstrated experience with producing analytic insights from large scale data. Demonstrated experience with quantitative analysis, machine learning, and statistical modeling. Experience conveying complex data science insights to non-technical audiences Specific experience with the Palantir Foundry/Gotham suite of tools Desired: Experience with telecommunications metadata and content analysis Experience exploiting or deriving insights from SIGINT, computer network exploitation, or other technical collection Prior counterintelligence experience Specific interest in or experience with technical surveillance This position is open for current and future openings.
