Government Healthcare Data Manager

Act as a project lead and partner with the client to define and manage project scope Serve as an expert on data methodologies and ensure consistency with industry standards Oversee data strategy and processing activities Review and guide data processes throughout the project Explain data anomalies and exceptions and formulate solutions Utilize SAS programming software to interpret, validate and analyze large healthcare data sets Collaborate with client and project teams to finalize methodologies Educate clients on the impact of their policies on the data Support the design and implementation of solutions to clients’ emerging and unique challenges Identify growth and development opportunities for junior data analysts Provide guidance, oversight and mentoring to junior data staff Requirements BA/BS or equivalent experience required 10+ years of healthcare claims data and project management experience required 3+ years’ experience leading teams Experience overseeing project teams and working in a client-facing capacity Experience using SAS, SQL or equivalent programming language Experience working with Medicaid claims data Experience managing large complex projects, preferably in a consulting setting Excellent interpersonal skills Strong oral and written communication skills Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a demanding work environment Strong critical thinking and analytical problem-solving skills Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in data methodologies and project management within the healthcare sector, with a strong focus on SAS programming and client collaboration.
