About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Med Surg/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:30 PM - 7:00 AM Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years recent Med Surg Rehab experience License: Vermont RN License or Compact Certifications: American Heart Association BLS American Heart Association ACLS Must-Have: Charge RN experience is required. Traveler must be willing to float to any unit within their scope of practice. Traveler candidate must have their own vehicle. Description: Do not upload a traveler who would like to work in conjunction with another permanent placement or travel assignment. Do not upload a traveler who will request schedule accommodations. May be asked to work as a backup Charge Nurse. Coordinates total nursing care for patients. Participates in patient and family teaching. Provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel. Maintains standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. Nurse to patient ratio is 1 to 4 or 5. Average daily patient census is 22. Requested time off during the assignment must be noted and verified at upload. No more than 5 days of requested time off will be accepted. Local travelers living within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this need. This small community does not have public transport. CALL is required for this position. Traveler must have previous travel experience of at least 3 months. Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred. Perm address must be included in traveler profile. All scheduling requests must be made at the time of submission. The facility will not approve scheduling requests after the time of offer. Requests made after offer may lead to rescinded offer. Each call off must be communicated to the unit supervisor at least 1.5 hours in advance. After 3 call offs, a traveler's contract may be terminated. Every other weekend and holidays may be required if needed.
