About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President, Legal Commercial to lead its global commercial legal function. This senior role is pivotal in defining and executing the long-term strategy for commercial legal operations, with a strong focus on aligning legal priorities with the company's revenue growth, market expansion, and product evolution. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of legal areas, including commercial contracting, strategic partnerships, AI governance, and public sector contracting. They will also lead a team of 15-20 legal professionals, setting enterprise-wide standards for commercial contracting and ensuring the company's legal practices are in line with current market standards, particularly in the enterprise SaaS sector. Applicants for the Vice President, Legal Commercial position at the company should have a minimum of 15 years' of combined law firm and in-house experience, with a substantial background in a senior commercial legal leadership role within a global SaaS or enterprise technology company. A J.D. or U.S. law degree equivalent is required, with bar admission in good standing in at least one U.S. state. The role demands a leader with a proven track record in AI governance and product legal issues, as well as deep expertise in enterprise SaaS contracting, strategic partnerships, and complex legal agreements. The ideal candidate will be a visionary, execution-oriented leader with exceptional executive presence, and the ability to influence at the C-suite level. Experience in leading geographically distributed teams in a fully remote, asynchronous environment is essential, as is a genuine championing of AI-enabled legal work.
