Diesel Mechanic

Job Description Job Summary JH Contracting is seeking a dependable, experienced Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of trucks, trailers, heavy equipment, or other vehicles. The ideal candidate has strong diagnostic skills, takes pride in quality workmanship, and can work safely with minimal supervision. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair diesel engines, electrical systems, brakes, steering, suspension, and drivetrain components Perform routine preventive maintenance, inspections, and DOT-related repairs Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic equipment Maintain accurate service and repair records Keep the shop, tools, and work areas clean and organized Follow all company and workplace safety procedures Work will be both in the field and at the shop Qualifications At least 2 years of diesel mechanic experience preferred Knowledge of diesel engines and heavy-duty vehicle systems Ability to use diagnostic tools and repair equipment Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record CDL and ASE certifications are a plus Must provide basic hand tools Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying weather conditions Benefits Competitive pay with overtime opportunities Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid vacation and holidays Join a stable company that values skilled technicians and recognizes quality work.
