Director Asset Management

Digna Recruitment is retained on a confidential search for a senior Asset Management hire with an established, well‑capitalised real estate credit platform in New York. This is a rare build mandate. The lending business has scaled to the point where asset management needs to come in‑house and be run as its own function - and this is the person to build it. You'll stand up the internal asset‑management platform, put the process, reporting and infrastructure in place, and grow a small team over time, on a clear Head of Asset Management trajectory. The role Build out the firm's internal asset‑management function, bringing a currently cradle‑to‑grave process fully in‑house Quarterback asset management alongside finance – surveillance, valuations, covenant and portfolio monitoring across a scaling loan book Lead workouts, restructurings and loan modifications on transitional product Establish the systems, processes and reporting infrastructure to support institutional‑grade AM Grow and lead a team of one to three as the function proves out You’ll bring Strong asset‑management / portfolio‑management experience for a debt fund, credit platform or bank CRE group Genuine workout and restructuring depth – someone who has managed a loan through trouble, not just monitored a performing book A track record of building or materially improving AM process and infrastructure – not just operating within one Comfort across transitional CRE credit – bridge and construction New York base; this is an in‑person team Compensation Competitive, weighted toward base – in the region of $450‑500,000 all‑in, commensurate with experience. #J-18808-Ljbffr Digna Recruitment
