Qualified Medication Aide – Insulin Certification Required Compensation Information: $17.61 - $19.57 / hour Department (Org): Medical Location Marion County Jail - 695 Justice Way, Indianapolis, IN 46203 Key Responsibilities Prepare and administer prescribed medications under RN supervision, ensuring compliance with Facility policies, Pharmacy Board regulations, and safety principles. Document medication administration accurately on the Medication Administration Record (MAR), including any medications not administered and reasons for non-administration. Adhere to infection control techniques, incorporate universal precautions, and uphold the six rights of medication administration. Participate in data collection, medication audits, and performance improvement activities, promptly reporting adverse reactions to supervisors. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the medication cart, reorder and replace medications and supplies as needed, and uphold patient confidentiality and HIPAA regulations. Qualifications & Requirements Education High School graduate or equivalent. Experience One (1) year related experience in a medical environment preferred. Completed QMAP training and passed competency evaluation in accordance with program requirements. Licenses/Certifications Must have current CPR Certification and provide QMAP ID number for online verification.
