Maintenance Technician

Job Summary This role is responsible for the overall preventative maintenance and repair of equipment, tools, and machinery as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor. The position works from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm and may require overtime. Job Responsibilities Perform general repairs and preventative maintenance to plant structures Install, adjust, and repair production equipment and special‑purpose machines as assigned Test and troubleshoot malfunctioning machinery, determine repairs, and follow through to assure proper operation in a safe, timely manner Install equipment and/or electrical components and test to ensure proper functioning Dismantle equipment to access and remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools and power tools Perform MIG/Stick welding, torch cutting, and light machining as required Operate a variety of hand and power tools to repair, grease, change and clean parts/equipment to ensure proper operation Maintain the work area in a clean and orderly condition Work occasionally with a mobile mechanic as needed Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed Job Requirements 5+ years of experience required High school diploma or equivalent experience and training, or comparable education Ability to read and interpret instructions and operations manuals and follow step‑by‑step instructions Mechanical aptitude and ability are essential Skilled in the use of hand and power tools Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, belting, mechanics, electricity, carpentry Knowledge of CMMS system and its function Good communication skills Able to work with a team or independently Full understanding of preventative and predictive maintenance programs Familiarity with log‑out and tag‑out procedures Work safely and efficiently to maintain plant support Lift tools, machinery parts, and other objects which may weigh up to 80 lbs each; assistance is advised for heavier objects Endure intermittent bending, crouching, pushing, pulling, stooping, and reaching Stand for an extended period Able to work in manufacturing‑type conditions such as hot and/or cold temperatures, noise, dust, and dirt What CRH Offers You Highly competitive base pay Comprehensive medical, dental and disability benefits programs Group retirement savings program Health and wellness programs An inclusive culture that values opportunity for growth, development, and internal promotion CRH is an equal‑opportunity employer.
