Custodian, 2nd Shift 2:30pm - 11:00pm

Custodian

The goal of the Custodian is to provide custodial services at assigned school buildings, ensuring an attractive, sanitary and safe environment for students, staff and visitors; performing a variety of special cleaning operations; and assisting in preparing and maintaining facilities for classroom activities and building events.

Essential duties include:

• Restrooms
• Classrooms
• Hallways and Entrance
• Gym and Stage
• Offices
• Locker Rooms

Other functions include conserving energy and using time management to ensure responsibilities are completed effectively.

Qualifications include:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Job related experience preferred
• Good attention to detail
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Good attendance and punctuality

The job requires foundational knowledge in industrial cleaning and safety practices, flexibility to work with others, and the ability to solve complex problems.

Physical demands include standing, walking, lifting, and fine finger dexterity. The work environment includes a building setting with children and other adults, outdoor weather conditions, and various noises.
