Salary: $50,000 - $65,000


The Retail Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of daily store operations, including sales performance, customer service, staffing, inventory management, and overall store profitability. This role requires a hands-on leader who can drive results, develop high-performing teams, and ensure an exceptional customer experience while maintaining operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities


Sales & Business Performance

• Drive store sales and achieve established revenue and profitability goals.
• Monitor and analyze sales performance, key metrics, and market trends to identify growth opportunities.
• Ensure all promotions, merchandising initiatives, and marketing campaigns are effectively executed.
• Provide outstanding customer service and resolve customer concerns in a professional and timely manner.

Leadership & Team Development

• Recruit, hire, onboard, train, and develop store employees.
• Provide ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and employee development opportunities.
• Conduct performance evaluations and address employee relations matters, including conflict resolution.
• Foster a positive, team-oriented culture that promotes accountability, engagement, and exceptional customer service.
• Set clear expectations, recognize achievements, and motivate staff to meet performance goals.

Inventory & Vendor Management

• Maintain accurate inventory levels through effective inventory control practices and regular cycle counts.
• Monitor inventory movement and coordinate replenishment to minimize stock shortages and overstock situations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
• Ensure products are properly displayed and merchandised to maximize sales opportunities.

Operations & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.
• Create and manage employee schedules to support business needs and maximize productivity.
• Cross-train team members to improve operational efficiency and customer service.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional store environment.
• Oversee opening and closing procedures and ensure daily operational standards are met.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the flooring industry .
• Proven success in retail management, store operations, or a similar leadership role.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze sales data, performance metrics, and business trends.
• Knowledge of inventory management, merchandising, and retail operational best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
• Proficiency with point-of-sale systems, inventory management software, and Microsoft Office applications.
