Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat a wide variety of foot and ankle conditions, including:
- Bunions
- Heel pain
- Diabetic foot complications
- Sports injuries
- Nail and skin disorders
- Perform minor podiatric procedures and administer appropriate treatments.
- Provide preventive foot care and patient education.
- Recommend and provide specialized services, including:
- Custom Orthotics
- Laser Treatments
- Other advanced podiatric services
- Educate patients on treatment options and develop individualized care plans.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and HIPAA-compliant medical documentation.
- Stay current on advances in podiatric medicine and evidence-based treatment practices.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from an accredited institution.
- Active New York State Podiatry License.
- Experience diagnosing and treating a broad range of podiatric conditions.
- Experience recommending and providing cash-based services such as custom orthotics, laser treatments, or similar specialty services preferred.
- Excellent communication and patient education skills.
- Ability to build strong patient relationships.
- Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
