As a Registered Nurse in our Med Surg / Orthopedics unit, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and promoting a positive and healing environment for our patients. Key Responsibilities: * Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient's condition * Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans * Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians * Monitor and document patient's progress and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare providers * Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment plans, and self-care techniques * Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records * Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations Qualifications: * Current and valid Registered Nurse license in the state of Florida * Minimum of 1 year of experience in Med Surg or Orthopedics nursing * BLS and ACLS certifications * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment * Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care * Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills Additional Parameters: * This is a part-time position, with the potential for full-time hours in the future * Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays * Competitive salary and benefits package offered Join our team at Health First Careers and make a difference in the lives of our patients every day. Work Experience QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED * Education: * Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing. * Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required. * BSN preferred. * Licensure: * Current Florida RN licensure or endorsement. * Certification: * Must hold current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider Completion Card prior to start date and maintain. * Certification(s) as required by specific unit. * Experience: * Must meet unit specific care requirements. * Language: * Must be able to speak / understand written and verbal instructions in the English language. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: * Must have visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to perform clinical tasks. * Must have corrected vision and hearing to normal range. * Must be able to lift, turn, pull, push or ambulate patients / equipment up to 90% of the assigned shift. * Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds unassisted up to 33% of the assigned shift. * Must be able to stand, walk, bend and stoop up to 90% of assigned shift. * Potential for exposure to bio-hazardous waste and known or unknown diseases. MENTAL DEMANDS: * Must have ability to work in often stressful environment with patients / families at various ages and levels of understanding. * Must have ability to concentrate on multiple priority activities. * Must have ability to respond appropriately to life threatening situations. * Must have critical thinking and problem solving skills.
