Transportation Clerk

Job Title: Transportation Billing ClerkJob Summary The Transportation Billing Clerk is responsible for processing, auditing, and managing transportation-related invoices and billing records. This role ensures accurate freight billing, verifies shipment charges, resolves billing discrepancies, and supports transportation and accounting operations. The Transportation Billing Clerk works closely with carriers, drivers, customers, logistics personnel, and finance teams to maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely payments.Key ResponsibilitiesReview, verify, and process transportation and freight invoices for accuracy.Match bills of lading, delivery receipts, rate schedules, and supporting documentation to invoices.Prepare and generate customer invoices for transportation services.Audit freight charges and identify billing discrepancies.Research and resolve invoice issues with carriers, customers, and internal departments.Enter billing data into transportation management systems (TMS), accounting software, or ERP systems.Reconcile transportation freight bills.Maintain filing systems and documentation for audits and compliance purposes.Ensure compliance with company policies and transportation regulations.Harris Feeding Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
