Associate Attorney

A well-established national law firm is seeking a motivated Litigation Associate to join its growing litigation practice. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with early-career experience handling complex civil litigation matters, including product liability, toxic tort, environmental claims, and commercial disputes. The successful candidate will collaborate with a diverse client base that includes corporate entities, insurance professionals, and domestic and international organizations involved in sophisticated litigation matters. Job Responsibilities: Manage litigation matters through all phases, including discovery, motion practice, depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation. Draft and review pleadings, legal memoranda, motions, discovery requests, responses, and other litigation-related documents. Conduct comprehensive legal research using industry-standard legal research platforms and apply findings to case strategy. Analyze and organize case materials, review document productions, and prepare evidence for hearings, depositions, and trial. Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and internal legal teams while ensuring timely court filings and case management. Job Requirements: Juris Doctor (J.D.) or equivalent legal degree with an active license to practice law in California. One to four years of experience handling commercial litigation or complex civil litigation matters. Demonstrated courtroom experience, including arguing motions, attending hearings, and participating in trial proceedings. Experience with product liability, toxic tort, environmental, or other complex litigation matters is highly desirable. Strong legal writing, analytical thinking, organizational skills, and the ability to effectively manage multiple deadlines.
