Tax Accountant - CPA Firm
Location: Southbury, CT
Salary: $60,000-$85,000 + Incentive Pay
Schedule: Full-Time, Onsite | 9:00 AM-5:30 PM

Responsibilities of the Tax Accountant

• Prepare individual and business tax returns, including 1040s, Schedule C/E, S-Corps, Partnerships, and Corporate returns
• Assist with tax extensions and other tax compliance work
• Support year-round bookkeeping and general ledger review
• Assist with payroll-related accounting and entity setup
• Work directly with clients and other members of the firm
• Handle additional tax and accounting projects throughout the year

Preferred Qualifications for the Tax Accountant

• Bachelor's degree
• Some tax experience within a CPA firm/public accounting environment
• Fluency in Albanian is a plus
• Interest in continuing to develop a career in tax
• CPA track is a plus
• Drake Tax and QuickBooks experience are a plus

More experienced CPA/EA candidates are also encouraged to apply. The firm can offer significantly higher compensation, including $150K+ , for someone with substantial tax experience who can step in and operate independently.
