Radiologic Technologist - PRN

Job Location: Carmel, IN 46032 Position Type: Per Diem Job Shift: Day Summary / Objective Radiologic Technologist is responsible for serving a full schedule of patients in a high volume, highly specialized, outpatient orthopedic clinic. Maintaining focus on providing a superior level of customer service and delivering unwavering, exceptional quality care is a must. We are currently hiring PRN Radiology Technologists (X‑Ray Techs). These roles offer a very flexible schedule for up to 29 hours a week. Essential Functions Select length and intensity for radiation exposure by adjusting equipment on an individual patient basis to obtain optimum image quality with lowest radiation. Work one‑on‑one with patient to complete ordered X‑rays. Position patient and adjust equipment for performing images following procedures established by Forté Sports Medicine & Orthopedics. Follow prescribed safety standards for operating radiology equipment. Maintain patient confidentiality as outlined by HIPAA and policies of Forté Sports Medicine and Orthopedics. Examine images for film properties such as density, contrast, definition, magnification and distortion. Competencies (Knowledge/Skills/Abilities) Ability to work and think independently. Flexible, able to manage change with positivity. Willing to enhance professional growth through educational programs, CE credits or workshops. Physical Demands Must be able to lift at least 50+ lbs. Moving patients, lifting and helping patients with needs, lifting and moving heavy X‑ray equipment, transporting patients. Frequently on feet standing and walking. Required Education and Experience Completion of a course in Radiologic Technology approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Current certification with the ARRT and the State of Indiana. Knowledge of computerized radiology (CR), digital radiography (DR), and PACS system. Preferred Education and Experience Prior experience using Electronic Medical Records systems. Travel Required Travel to Forté clinics in central Indiana as needed. Work Environment Typical professional medical clinic environment.
