Maintenance Manager

Qualifications Education/Certification: High school diploma or equivalent. Special Knowledge/Skills: Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment. Ability to interact in a positive manner with others. Able to work in a busy environment with many disruptions. Experience: Previous experience in maintenance and/or managerial role. Major Responsibilities And Duties Assist and support the Director of Maintenance with the day to day maintenance functions. Perform routine maintenance and daily inspection of equipment. Support Director of Maintenance with implementation of district procedures. Help supervise and support maintenance repair technicians in the field. Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary. Keep maintenance records and be able to report on activities. Perform repairs and service on kitchen equipment. Assist with snow removal as necessary. Respond to facility emergencies as needed, on call, including after hours. Perform other duties as assigned in order to ensure a well-maintained, clean, orderly and safe environment. Supervisory Responsibilities Maintenance Staff Mental Demands / Physical Demands / Environmental Factors Tools/Equipment Used: Standard maintenance equipment including personal computer and phone. Posture: Some sitting, Frequent standing. Motion: Frequent walking, reaching, carrying, stooping, kneeling, and pushing/pulling. Lifting: Up to 50 pounds. Environment: Primarily indoors but subject to extreme conditions. Mental Demands: Maintain focus, decision making, remain composed under pressure. Attendance: Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance/punctuality as required by the Board of Education policies and regulations.
