Rigging Foreman (RAL AMG PD)

We perform installation, rigging, millwrighting, and maintenance for manufacturing and industrial markets across the Southeast. Job Summary Southern Industrial Constructors, Inc. seeks a Rigging Foreman for a project in Apex, NC. Hired candidates will be considered for benefits/paid time off after 3 months. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in erecting and operating machines to hoist and convey machinery and equipment. Specifies locations for movement and erection of derricks, hoists, and cranes, using knowledge of various methods of sliding and lifting equipment. Directs workers engaged in splicing ropes and metal cables to form hoisting slings. Supervises and coordinates activities of assigned craft workers. Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders as needed for the area of supervision. Maintains time records. Interprets company policies to workers, and enforces safety regulations. Establishes and adjusts work sequences to meet construction schedules, using knowledge of capacities of equipment and assigned personnel. Studies schedules and estimates worker‑hour requirements for completion of jobs. Analyzes and resolves work problems. Coordinates the movement of equipment and material according to visual signals and directions. Detects, recognizes, and responds to dangerous conditions or situations. Performs frequent safety inspections of work area, equipment, tools, and employees to ensure compliance with regulations and the company’s safety program. Requires appropriate journeyman experience. Requires regular attendance. Significant travel may be required. Performs other duties as required. Qualifications Rigger Journey level minimum of 4+ years of experience. 2+ years of supervisory experience. Physical Demands Must be able to use all required PPE equipment and lift up to fifty pounds. Conditions include work in office, shop, busy traffic areas, warehouses, and undeveloped properties, with exposure to dirt, dust, grease, oil, vibrations, and adverse weather. Must be able to safely access all areas of property, buildings, structures, wharves, rooftops, and confined spaces. Strenuous physical demands are required to safely perform essential functions. Must be able to safely operate all involved equipment and tools. Must be capable of standing for long periods, bending consistently, working in confined spaces, on ladders, personnel lifts, workboats, and awkward positions.
