Contracting Controls Technician - Phoenix, AZ

Prioritize customer engagement; collaborate with colleagues in office when not on site. What You Will Do Responsible for commissioning, programming, setting up graphics, communication links, end‑to‑end testing, troubleshooting and servicing on assigned projects. Document point‑to‑point verification, sequence of operations validation and job close‑out requirements. Serve as the direct customer contact, ensuring customer satisfaction by diagnosing and repairing equipment and systems on site. Coordinate with team leader and customer to understand requirements, forecast issues, gather materials and synchronize on‑site work. Stay current on Trane products related to installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair of digital control systems. Maintain safety and security standards, recording use and condition of company assets. Work overtime and weeks as required, including occasional overnight stays. What You Will Bring High School Diploma or equivalent; 3‑5 years of HVAC/Controls experience. Technical School or formal training preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and handheld computer use (Smartphone, iPad). Valid driver’s license held for 12 months with no serious traffic violations. Experience with DDC controls system preferred. Additional Requirements and Environmental Exposure Safely operate a vehicle, wear protective gear (helmet, goggles, harness, boots). Perform physical tasks: twist torso 90°, squat, reach over head, stand on concrete up to 4 hours. Lift and move up to 10 lbs routinely and up to 40 lbs frequently; lift >40 lbs occasionally. Use ladders up to 375 lb total weight with equipment ≤50 lbs. Maneuver confined access areas (30" × 45"). Access rooftops to 15–20 ft, occasionally up to 50 ft.
