And for this the Roland® brand is synonymous with quality, authenticity and creativity for the consumer and chef alike.About The RoleRoland Foods is seeking a Logistics Associate who will be responsible for supporting the importation of goods from our suppliers in 50+ countries to our North American distribution network. The successful candidate will be someone who is eager to learn, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is extremely attentive to detail.As a response to the pandemic, Roland Foods office employees have transitioned to a hybrid working schedule, requiring employees to report in-person Tuesday through Thursday, with the option to telework on Monday and Friday each week. Due to the collaborative, cross-functional nature of the organization, employees at the NY and NJ offices are required to work in-person for the abovementioned days, outside of any People & Culture-approved disability accommodation request.ResponsibilitiesAssist with purchase order and container-level follow-up to ensure orders move from supplier readiness through final warehouse receiptTrack shipment milestones, monitor ETAs, and proactively flag delays to the Logistics team, Sales, Replenishment, and warehousesReview shipping documents for accuracy before submission, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates, and arrival noticesSupport customs and regulatory compliance by coordinating documentation for FDA, USDA, and Customs exams or holdsMonitor demurrage, detention, storage, and other accessorial risks and escalate potential cost exposure before charges are incurredCoordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, carriers, truckers, suppliers, and warehouses to support timely clearance and deliveryMaintain accurate landed cost, freight, duty, and shipment-related data in ERP and shipment tracking systemsAssist with invoice review and discrepancy resolution for freight, broker, drayage, storage, and warehouse chargesSupport internal reporting and KPI tracking, including on-time delivery, port delays, customs holds, carrier performance, and shipment exceptionsHelp maintain SOPs and process documentation for import, customs, and shipment tracking workflowsSupport issue resolution for inventory discrepancies, damaged goods, short shipments, overages, and missing documentsProcess inbounds in ERP systems to ensure inventory is available for ordersQualifications And SkillsRequiredBachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field strongly desiredMinimum of 1 year of relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, import, export, or a related fieldHigh level of accuracy and strong attention to detailAbility to multitask, prioritize, and adapt in a dynamic, fast-changing environmentPreferredDemonstrated ability to collaborate with others and work cross-functionallyStrong organizational and time management skillsStrong oral and written communication skillsDemonstrated track record of identifying problems and developing solutionsIntermediate to advanced Excel skillsExperience with ERP systems, specifically Microsoft D365Salary RangeThe base salary for this role will be $60,000 - $75,000.
