Traveling Project Manager

Project Manager The Project Manager is responsible for managing project timelines and budgets while creating and implementing technical solutions and construction methods based on design concepts and visual information. The role requires the ability to multi‑task while maintaining attention to detail and high levels of organization. Hands‑on experience in scheduling, written and verbal communication, and general construction practices is essential. The position requires extensive travel (60‑70%) and reports to the Director of Operations & Vice President. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Onsite project management lead for jobs nationwide – roughly 70% out of office in market. Complete daily progress reports with crew attendance, photos, and completion metrics for each active day. Conduct site visits as needed for any job. Per diem and travel expenses covered for all out‑of‑market travel to jobs/site visits. Accompany clients, building department, fire marshals, etc., on walkthroughs to inspect and confirm installations are built to code and client expectations; acquire sign‑off on all projects prior to completion and exit. Oversee project prep in the Las Vegas warehouse prior to events when needed – including but not limited to tools, hardware, materials and other equipment. Assist with local project planning, schedules, and logistics. Ensure crews attend safety orientations, are up to date on all safety requirements, and adhere to all safety regulations while using proper PPE. Manage all job‑specific purchasing and procurement. Assist in developing project cost estimates in collaboration with the sales team. Coordinate and review all technical drawings with the CAD department and project foreman to ensure all details are captured before arrival onsite. Coordinate and review detailed assembly/installation drawings with project foreman for installation crew use. Actively communicate with management and warehouse team to maintain shop production and logistics schedules in coordination with the onsite project. Work closely with department heads and subcontractors to meet budgetary and scheduling goals. Communicate with the client, management, and sales staff during build and strike phases to align progress, milestones, and deadlines. Manage changes to the project scope onsite and report budgetary or staffing implications to management. Track and report project costs compared to budget, and assemble post‑mortem reports on all projects to give a top‑line view of performance relative to estimates. Previous industry experience in scaffolding, construction, technical theater, or scenic fabrication is a plus but not required. Proficiency with MS Office and Teams. High‑level problem‑solving skills. Ability to make decisions when prioritizing short‑ and long‑term objectives. Outstanding relationship skills and a team‑oriented, collaborative work ethic. Ability to work within a flexible schedule. Valid driver's license. Availability to report to the Las Vegas office as needed if not scheduled on a jobsite. Bilingualism is a major plus but not required. Education & Qualifications High School Diploma or Equivalent. Compensation & Benefits Pay: $65‑80k, negotiable based on experience.
