Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Day Surgery – Registered Nurse you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in line with the requirements of the department and the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. Collaborating with medical providers and the care team, you will provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, following established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." You will also act as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization's vision, mission, and values to ensure an outstanding patient experience and positive clinical outcomes.

What you will do in this role:

• You will be responsible for coordinating the nursing care of assigned patients in the Unit in order to provide quality patient care to patients.
• You will be responsible for knowledge and skill necessary to provide care based on physical, psychological, educational, safety and related criteria for the appropriate age populations.
• You will provide and supply professional nursing care exercising independent judgment in utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate.

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing.
• Bachelors of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Current Texas license as RN.
• Current BCLS issued from American Heart Association
• 1-year of Day Surgery experience as a licensed RN in an acute care setting required
