Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Paralegal position based in White Plains, NY. The Paralegal will support attorneys in all phases of matrimonial and family law matters and play a key role in case preparation, document production and client communication.

Key Responsibilities

• Support attorneys in all aspects of matrimonial and family law cases
• Draft correspondence and prepare legal documents, including divorce documents and family court petitions
• Must be proficient with NYSCEF, e-filing and e-Courts
• Must be proficient with LexisNexis research
• Manage discovery, including document collection, organization and compliance with discovery orders
• Prepare trial notebooks
• Process subpoenas and authorizations
• Communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel
• Assist with scheduling, case tracking, and general office support
• Share telephone responsibilities and manage client intake communications

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of law office experience (required)
• Paralegal certificate preferred
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Professional telephone demeanor
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Spanish-speaking is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $55,000 – $90,000 per year (commensurate with experience)
• Health insurance
• Paid time off

Schedule & Work Environment

• Full-time, Monday to Friday
• In-person role based in White Plains, NY (10601)
